Hearty loving Greetings and good wishes to all.WCUSS has a great history of over 40 years in the development sector. It was registered in Anantapur in 1984 and later again registered asa society on February 11th, 1985 in KurnoolDistrict. My humble beginning of social work started with the ever-merciful late Rev.Father Vincent Ferrer in RDT Anantapur in the year 1974.After 9 years we established our own society, called Weaker Communities Upliftment Service Society (WCUSS) with the co-founderMr. V George as its first President and Mr.JosephNadackal was the Secretary cumTreasurer.Since then we have been carrying out our social services program with the full participation of the target communities where we deeply established personal contacts. The society was progressing with more focus on the wholistic development and reached greatheight.Therefore at any rate, expressing our deepest gratitude and obeisance to our benefactors , superiors, funding agencies, all the heads of our partner development agencies, all the internal and external supportive stake holders, all our deeply associated great mentors and noble men such as Mr. S P Tucker IAS, Mr.K Raju IAS, Mr.L Premchand Reddy IAS, Mr.Somesh Kumar IAS, Mr.Nanji Reddy, Mr.Murali IAS, Ms.VijayBharathiOrwakal who's affectionately called Amma (Mother)by all local people, Mr.Dana Kishore IAS,Mr.A K Goel IAS, Mr.Sai Prasad IAS,Mr.Satish Chandra IAS,Dr. Vijaya Kumar IAS, Mr. S P Singh IAS, Mr.ShankarNaik IAS,Mr.Harprert Singh IAS,Mr.Sudharshan Reddy IAS, Mr.Puneetha IAS, Center Government Cabinet Secretaries Mr.Y N Yugandar IAS, Mr.KR Venugopal IAS , Ms.Sridevi IAS, Mr.A K Jain IFS, Mr.Sanjay Gupta IFS, Dr. Suvarna IFS, Dr. T Vijay Kumar, NIRD, Dr. Vani ,Dr. Leela Prasad ICRISAT,Dr. Sanghi MANAGE ,State and Central Ministers late Mr.Yerram Naidu,late Mr. KodelaSivaprasad Rao, Mr.KE Krishna Murthy, Mr.K E Prabhakar, Dr. Janet Seely-DFID UK, Dr. CS Reddy, APMAS Hyderabad, Mr. T G Venketesh industrial tycoon and politician Kurnool,MPs and MLAs of Kurnool District, District and Mandal (Block) level, local level officers,all local level leaders including all panchayat Presidents,press persons, allCBOs,VOs, SHGs, all SHG concerned employees, and everyone who has been supporting and beneficial to us.Here, I am unable to mention all other important noble personalities due to space limits and I thank all those VIPs and always remember them devoutly.

Right now, let me express my timeless thanks to our beloved benefactors/funding agencies from 1985 onwards: CEBEMO Netherlands, MISERIOR Germany, Action Aid UK /Italy,UNDP, Watershed Development agencies of central and state Governments, Manos Unidas Spain, our current Donor NABARD since 2007 to present. We heartily thank all the NABARD officers for their good support and guidance.

In fact, I personally deem that this is not a message but a living example of our most committed and dedicated joint social development work implemented and being implemented in our target areas. These are our learned, taught and well-experienced human reality of a true service for the neediest without being asked,executed transparently by the people fully involved in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.

Factually, our great advancement in the field of community service is attributed only to our sincerity, righteousness, faithfulness, humility and trust without expecting any benefit or gain from projects or from anything.

By seeing our deeds of transparency and selfless full implementation as per approval and resolutions of the concerned committees, our target people, all concerned heads of various departments/agencies fully understood and got convinced of our probity and scrupulosity. This is truly our hallmark and excellence of our growth and progress beyond imagination.

I would therefore with all humility appeal to all the pro poor and kind hearted national and international well wishers, pro development professionals, donor agencies and research institutions to visit our project areas if possible, and support,guide and inspire us in expanding our services to more people and more geographical areas.

Lastly, I gratuitously thank our President Mr. B Venketesh who is kind hearted and has maintained the society even duringchallenging times due to the pause of funding. Mini Joseph, Vice President of WCUSS is stewarding the Kerala branch of WCUSS for starting elderly day care centers in Kottayam and Trivandrum districts of Kerala. She is also pursuing her Ph.D (a Research Scholar) and is associated with Shanthidhan Charitable Trust Kerala, which is our project partner agency. We have also partneredwith Bright Light Society, Chennai for information and technical collaboration. We are deeply thankful to our auditors- respected A V Subba Rao and Co. Kurnool who have been our reputable auditors since the beginning.

Eventually, writing this message on WCUSS has been a privilege and joy. I would humbly ask the readers to step back in time and study the past of our deeds. In doing so, you will see, as I have, that this is a very special organization that mirrors the growth and development of poor in many ways. This is genuinely a righteous and true service society that has a demonstrated commitment towards service over 40 years, informed by the past glorious deeds of excellence.

I congratulate all our committed staff for their incredible achievements and the challenges to all to continue to be transformational people to what we have learned and experienced during our indefatigable work in Andhra Pradesh and now in Kerala with Shanthidhan Charitable Trust, Kottayam for a better needy change, so that we may all live in a community, state or country that is more just, empowering, compassionate, peaceful and hopeful.
